April Fools' Day, sometimes also referred as” All Fools' Day”, is one of the most light hearted days of the year & not to mention, celebrated on 1st of April. Its origins are obscure. Some see it as a celebration related to the turn of the seasons, While others believe it is originated with adoption of the New Georgian Calendar instead of the old Julian Calendar.

There wasn’t any day on the calendar marked as- " April Fool's Day”, until 1582 .It was 1st celebrated only in France & soon this fever spread to UK,Germany & European countries followed by other parts of world, including USA.It could be related to as celebration for the first day of Spring, according to the studies of different cultural experts.

Few Movies were also made on the topic & were named as “April Fool’s Day”, like in 1986 directed by- Fred Walton& in 2008 by-Mitchell Altieri.

On April Fool’s Day Pranks are played on friends, relatives, collegues...and could range from simple ones-like” Both Shoes laces tied together”, to elaborate ones-like Prank calls of accident of loved ones/proposing a lady colleagues..!!

    Few popular listed below:-
      Cup cakes iced with toothpaste
Toilet doorknobs rubbed with Vaseline or Baby oil, which makes it very slippery & difficult to operate.
Set the alarm clock for 3:00 a.m. and hide it under their beds/remotely Inside wardrobe. See them tearing down their room in a sleepy fit to shut it up.
Fake scratch ticket that shows they won 10 thousand dollars. Hilarious!!!! These are just few of them…
Whatever may be the level of the prank, the trickster usually ends it by yelling “April Fool”, at his victim. This is to be taken in good spirits at both ends, to enjoy it.

April Fool's Day is a “strictly for-fun-only" .It doesn’t follow the policies like buying expensive & special gifts, or, Take somebody for special day out like dinner at a Fancy Restaurant for candle lit dinner. Also, most important, nobody gets off from work place or schools. So, no holiday, rather certain amount of enjoyment permitted & expected at work.

It’s just a little Fun day & not a Holiday!!
